Fire in the Sky

Monsoon season in Tucson, AZ is a blessing in many ways. Much needed moisture nourishes plants and animals, while the cloud patterns, combined with the dust in the atmosphere, create incredible sunrises and sunsets. This painting is the result of a monsoon storm. One night we decided to take our dogs to a dog park in a new area. However, by the time we reached our destination, the skies started to change and move in colorful patterns. Small raindrops misted our car windows while I hopped out to get as many photos as possible. Within a few moments this sky had disappeared and our dogs missed out on a fun night in a new place!
